We offer the ultimate bird hunting destination in South America. We have split the 2011 season into 3 seasons because of the demand of our clients. Please note that the birds are plentiful all year round. The seasons were only created because of the travel schedules of our clients. All bookings to date will be settled at the agreed upon price.

The Hunting
For more than 25 years, seasoned international wing shooters have recognized Cordoba, Argentina as the world’s leading destination for high volume dove hunting. There are an estimated 25 million doves in the northern area of Cordoba, providing high quality hunts for thousands of visitors over the years.
Easy arrival — it is very easy to fly to Cordoba with direct flights from either Santiago, Chile or Buenos Aires, Argentina Perfect weather — the weather is great for hunting with more than 320 sunny days per year and no extreme temperatures.
Highest standards — the competition among local lodges has created the highest standard of service of any other hunting lodges in the world.

The Lodge
Our unique game management program and convenient roost location set us apart from the others. We own more than 40 shooting areas, all located less than 15 minutes from the lodge. Our game manager, assigns each guest a new setting on every hunt -- from roost hunts to field hunts, or even a competitive hunt with friends. It is guaranteed to be a great experience!

Shooting variety is also a advantage. We’ve heard time and again how much our guests appreciate the diversification – some of them come year after year and never shoot in the same spot twice.

FATHER / SON PROMOTION
Now is the time to book a shoot with your son or daughter at Los Chañares. For the first time ever, we are offering a great father/son promotion throughout the year.

During our Summer Escape Season of June-September, fathers will pay full price ($650 per day) and all sons or daughters will pay 50% of the full retail rate ($325 per day). This is an excellent time to invite your son or daughter to an unforgettable trip after their high school or college graduation. So get away from the heat in the Northern Hemisphere summer and enjoy high volume doves in Cordoba.

During our Promotional-season of September - January , we will continue the best deal in Cordoba which is fathers pay $1,800 and one son goes for free! Additional son/daughters will be extended a 50% discount. You may also enjoy the Holiday Season with your family at Los Chañares. We offer a special Turkey dinner over Thanksgiving day weekend and a fireworks show on Christmas Eve. The father/son promotion is for sons or daughters 24 years or less.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

“LODGE INFORMATION: “Our luxurious lodge has ten (10) bedrooms each with two (2) twin size beds and a private bathroom. Private lodge must be purchased for $8,800 per day in the Sunflower Season, $7,200 per day in the Summer Escape Season and $5,500 per day in the Promotional Season. As an example for a group of 18, the savings per person is over $300 per day in the Sunflower Season ($488 per day instead of $790).

TEMPORARY GUN ENTRY PERMITS & HUNTING LICENCES: Taking your favorite guns into Argentina is very simple: Hunters are allowed to introduce up to three guns, on a temporary basis. The gun’s manufacturer, model, gauge, serial number and the passenger’s name and passport number must be provided to our offices at least 45 days before the arrival date. Hunting permits are processed prior to your arrival. Upon request, you will receive our shooting Questionnaire to fill out with this information.

SUGGESTED CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT: Shorts and/or pants, long and/or short-sleeve shirts in camouflage patterns or dark green (no khaki or light-colored shirts or hats in the field, please), light hunting boots, ear-plugs, sun-glasses, sun screen, insect repellent, shooting gloves, shoulder pads, shell pouch, gun-cleaning kit, wide-brim hat or cap, light rain gear. Please note that after June and until mid October, it is winter time in Argentina, you will need warm clothes; average temperatures during these months is low 50’s, mornings and nights; and high 60’s during the day. But, cold fronts below 50° F can be expected.

PAYMENT POLICIES: A 50% deposit is required to reserve your requested hunt dates. The deposit is not refundable. Full payment is due 60 days in advance of your scheduled hunt. We recommend trip insurance, which we can provide. Please inquire for updated rates. The acceptable methods of payment after arrival at the Los Chañares lodge for shells, gun rental, hunting license, and pro shop items is credit card, cash or personal checks. A 3.5% surcharge will be applied for credit card payments and 2.5% for US checks. These fees are what the local banks charge us; we regret any inconvenience.
